Cookie Policy

Seller: Blue Ocean Stories SL (trading as Li Lé Blue) · Marbella, Spain
Last updated: August 2026  ·  Effective: August 2026

Contact: support@lileblue.com
Legal framework: GDPR (EU 2016/679) · ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC · LSSI-CE (Law 34/2002, Art. 22) · LOPDGDD (Organic Law 3/2018) · AEPD Cookie Guidelines (2023, enforced January 2024)

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies we use on lileblue.com, why we use them, and how you can manage your cookie preferences. We use cookies only where necessary or where you have given your explicit consent. You can change your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie settings link in our website footer.

What are cookies —

and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device — computer, phone, or tablet — when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function correctly, remember your preferences, and provide website owners with information about how their site is being used.

Cookies are not programs and cannot carry viruses or malware. They can only be read by the website or service that created them. They typically contain: the name of the website that placed them, how long they will remain on your device, and a value — usually a randomly generated unique number.

FIRST-PARTY AND THIRD-PARTY COOKIES

First-party cookies are set directly by lileblue.com — by Blue Ocean Stories SL — and can only be read by us. They are used for essential website functions such as keeping you logged in or maintaining your shopping cart.

Third-party cookies are set by external services we use — such as Google Analytics and Meta — when their code is embedded on our website. Third-party cookies are governed by the privacy policies of those external services. We only allow third-party cookies to be placed after you have given your explicit consent.

SESSION COOKIES AND PERSISTENT COOKIES

Session cookies exist only for the duration of your visit. They are deleted automatically when you close your browser. They are used for things like maintaining your shopping cart during a visit.

Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period — which varies by cookie — or until you delete them manually. They are used to remember your preferences between visits and to track usage over time.

SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

This policy also covers similar tracking technologies — including pixels and tags — that function like cookies and are subject to the same consent requirements. The Meta Pixel, used on lileblue.com for advertising measurement, is a tracking technology of this type. See Section 05 for full details.

Legal basis —

why consent is required

The use of cookies on websites accessible from Spain is governed by Article 22 of the LSSI-CE (Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services), as interpreted in light of the GDPR and the AEPD Cookie Guidelines, most recently updated in July 2023 and enforced since January 2024.

Under these rules, non-essential cookies — any cookie that is not strictly necessary for the website to function — may only be placed on your device after you have given freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent as defined by GDPR Article 4(11). This consent must be obtained through a clear affirmative action. Pre-ticked boxes and continued browsing do not constitute valid consent under Spanish and EU law.

The AEPD requires that refusing cookies must be as easy as accepting them — the reject option must be presented with the same visual prominence and require the same number of clicks as the accept option. Consent must be granular — you must be able to accept analytics without accepting marketing, and vice versa. We comply with both requirements.

Essential cookies — those strictly necessary for the website to function — do not require consent and are placed automatically. All other cookies are blocked until you have actively chosen to accept them through our cookie consent banner.

Essential cookies —

always active, no consent required

Essential cookies are strictly necessary for lileblue.com to function. Without them, services you have specifically requested — such as adding a product to your cart or proceeding through checkout — cannot be provided. These cookies do not collect any information that could be used to identify you or track your browsing behaviour across other websites.

Because they are strictly necessary, essential cookies are placed automatically when you visit lileblue.com. They cannot be disabled through our cookie settings. You may disable them through your browser settings, but doing so will prevent key parts of the website from working correctly.

Managing your cookie preferences—

your controls

You have full control over which non-essential cookies are placed on your device. You can change your preferences at any time — you do not need to wait until your next visit.

THROUGH OUR COOKIE CONSENT BANNER

When you first visit lileblue.com, our cookie consent banner gives you the option to accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or manage your preferences by category. You can change your preferences at any time by visiting our Privacy Policy page, where a cookie preferences link allows you to reopen the consent banner and update your choices.

In accordance with AEPD requirements, the reject option is presented with the same visual prominence as the accept option and requires the same number of clicks. You can accept analytics without accepting marketing cookies, and vice versa — your choices are recorded per category.

THROUGH YOUR BROWSER SETTINGS

All major browsers allow you to manage cookies through your browser settings. You can set your browser to refuse all cookies, accept only certain types, or delete existing cookies. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent key parts of lileblue.com from functioning correctly — the shopping cart and checkout will not work without session cookies.

Instructions for managing cookies in the most commonly used browsers:

  • Google Chrome— Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data

  • Mozilla Firefox— Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data

  • Safari— Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

  • Microsoft Edge— Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

THROUGH THIRD-PARTY OPT-OUT TOOLS

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

You can manage your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences — including the data Meta uses to show you ads — at facebook.com/ads/preferences.

You can opt out of interest-based advertising more broadly through the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance at youronlinechoices.eu.

WITHDRAWING CONSENT

You may withdraw your cookie consent at any time. Visit our Privacy Policy page and use the cookie preferences link to reopen the consent banner and adjust your choices. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that occurred before withdrawal. When you withdraw consent, the relevant cookies are blocked from firing on subsequent page loads — cookies already placed on your device before withdrawal remain until they expire or you delete them through your browser settings.

How we record—

where cookie data goes

Under GDPR Article 7(1), we must be able to demonstrate that you have consented to the use of non-essential cookies. We record the following information when you make a cookie consent choice on lileblue.com:

  • The date and timeof your consent decision.

  • Your consent choices— which categories you accepted and which you declined.

  • The version of the cookie policyin force at the time of consent.

  • A pseudonymous identifier— not your name or email address — to link the consent record to your browser session.

Consent records are stored for 12 months from the date of consent. After 12 months, we will ask you to confirm your preferences again. Consent records are processed by our consent management platform, Consentik. These records are maintained as evidence of compliance in the event of an AEPD enquiry or audit.

International data transfers —

where cookie data goes

Some of the cookies described in this policy result in your data being transferred outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by GDPR Chapter V.

Google LLC (United States) — Google Analytics data is transferred to the USA. Google relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. IP anonymisation is enabled for all Google Analytics data collected through lileblue.com.

Meta Platforms Inc. (United States) — Meta Pixel data is transferred to the USA. Meta relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. Meta Pixel only fires after you have given explicit consent to marketing cookies.

Transfers to Wix servers in the USA are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses. Updates to this—

Cookie Policy

We review and update this Cookie Policy whenever we add, change, or remove cookies from lileblue.com, or when legal requirements change. The date of the most recent update is shown at the top of this document.

If we introduce new non-essential cookies — for example a new analytics tool or a new advertising pixel — we will update this policy before placing those cookies, and will request your consent for the new cookie category through our consent banner. We will not place new non-essential cookies without updating this policy and obtaining fresh consent where required.

If you have previously accepted a category of cookies and we introduce new cookies within that category, those new cookies will be covered by your existing consent for that category. If we introduce an entirely new category, we will request separate consent for it.
